INVESTOR OVERVIEW
FROM SEMICONDUCTOR CHIP TO FIELDED SYSTEM

Australia's sovereign RF foundation.

MILLIBEAM designs the silicon, antennas and radio architecture behind sovereign defence, autonomous systems and next-generation connectivity. RAKURAI is preparing for field trials. The same technology foundation scales across defence, SATCOM, autonomous systems and physical AI.

WHY INVESTORS ARE ENGAGING NOW

Own the silicon. Control the system.

Most RF systems are integrated from commodity components designed elsewhere. MILLIBEAM designs the silicon, the antennas and the finished system end to end. We sell the chips: PAs, AiPs and transceivers. The platform architecture around them is open, so customers design our silicon into systems of their own on a proven base. The chips are the revenue. The open platform is the multiplier. Sovereign-by-design is now a procurement filter, and the 2026 IIP has opened a decade of buying.

01

RAKURAI · the entry wedge

Palm-held C-UAS. Sub-1 kg, >1 km, >2 hrs. Issuable to every Soldier in the squad. No specialist required.

02

Full-stack ownership

Chip, antenna and finished system from one company. The result: a tighter BOM, better margins, and an RF base partners can build on.

03

Sovereign procurement tailwind

Up to $7B AUD allocated under the 2026 IIP. Sovereign-by-design is now a procurement filter, not a preference.

04

Platform leverage

Two levels: chips and AiPs anyone can design in, and complete platforms (RAKURAI, FARBEAM, PHASEBEAM, FARBASE) usable directly as end products. Next on the roadmap: a programmable software environment, so partners build on the platform the way developers build on a dev board.

THE WEDGE PRODUCT · ELECTRONIC WARFARE

The squad-level C-UAS breakthrough.

Doctrine assigns counter-UAS responsibility to every Soldier and unit. Current handheld systems still force protection into one specialist role. RAKURAI is engineered to close that gap.

>2 hours · continuous · all bands active
Preparing for field trials
01 · Capability gap

Every Soldier is responsible. One specialist still carries the hardware.

Current handheld C-UAS systems weigh 2 to 7 kg, run for less than one hour at full duty and often require two-handed operation. The result is one designated operator protecting the rest of the squad.

02 · The differentiator

The advantage is the combined envelope.

Sub-1 kg systems exist. Multi-band systems exist. Multi-hour systems exist. RAKURAI combines the full operating envelope in one handheld platform designed for routine issue.

03 · Engineering moat

Vertical integration creates the specification.

Antennas, GaN RF power amplifiers, power electronics, signal generation, thermal design and mechanics are engineered together against one mission envelope.

AiP = Antenna-in-Package. FR1 = sub-6 GHz cellular. FR2 = mmWave cellular (24–40 GHz). The 5G NR transceiver (F1M1G1) operates concurrently across FR1 and FR2 bands, a hardware capability difficult to replicate from off-the-shelf parts.

Design-win economics: hard to win, hard to displace.

NRE and licensing up front, then high-margin per-unit silicon and antenna shipments over a five-to-seven-year product life. Lumpy early, compounding once slots are won. Re-qualifying an RF front-end is costly and slow, so a design win locks in for the platform's life — revenue compounds across markets instead of resetting each cycle.

“Most counter-drone systems are integrated from third-party components. That approach can't close the gap. The only way forward is a vertically integrated system, and very few teams in the world can design one from silicon up. We built one in Australia. That's MILLIBEAM.”— Dr Venkata Gutta · Founder & CEO
