Engineered for demanding RF systems.
Built for integration.
Description
The H8QR1G9fVB is a surface-mount dual-band Ku-band antenna-in-package (AiP), built as a repeatable unit cell for scalable SATCOM phased arrays. It operates across the Ku downlink (10.7 to 12.7 GHz) and uplink (14.0 to 14.5 GHz), and solders onto a standard PCB using conventional SMT processes. Measuring 7.0 mm x 7.0 mm x 5.5 mm, it decouples the antenna from the motherboard, holding stable performance across a wide range of feed types, PCB thicknesses and dielectric constants without external matching.
Features
- Dual-band Ku operation: DL 10.7 to 12.7 GHz, UL 14.0 to 14.5 GHz
- Embedded antenna gain up to 6.7 dBi (DL) and 7.6 dBi (UL)
- Radiation efficiency above 90 percent
- Cross-polarisation discrimination above 20 dB
- Beam steering up to plus/minus 50 degrees in rectangular or triangular planar arrays
- Low mutual coupling between adjacent AiP units
- 7.0 x 7.0 x 5.5 mm, surface-mount (SMT)
- Universal motherboard compatibility: microstrip, stripline, CPW and CPWG feeds, PCB thickness 0.12 to 5.0 mm, Dk 2.2 to 4.4
- Standard SMT pick-and-place, peak reflow 260 degrees C, input power handling up to 25 W, alignment tolerance plus/minus 0.25 mm
Applications
- Ku-band SATCOM phased arrays
- LEO and GEO satellite ground terminals
- Mobile and on-the-move terminals
- Autonomous robots and drones
